Legacy?

Im going to be applying to ross this fall, i have a step-mother, aunt, and uncle who have graduated from michigan, how much will this help?

no.................

lol, I don't think that was a yes or no question

lol, i don't think step-mothers, aunts and uncles count when it comes to undergraduate admission. I heard it was only mother/father/brother/sister. I may be wrong though, but thats what i heard

That's right j89, only immediate blood relatives (mom, dad and siblings). Even then, being a legacy only helps a little bit.

From the Office of Admissions website

"Strongest consideration should be given to applicants whose parents or stepparents attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, followed by applicants who have a grandparent, sibling, or spouse, who has attended or is attending the University."

So stepparents are okay. That said, I agree with whoever said that legacy doesn't count for much in the evaluation process.
