legacy?

do i have a higher chance of being accepted at brown if both of my grandparents and my aunt went there? i also have a 33 ACT, 4.5 W GPA, and i’m 1st out of 125 students in my class. I also have a bunch of musical EC’s and leadership positions, but i’m mostly wondering about the whole “legacy” thing

I'm pretty sure legacy benefits only apply to parents/step-parents and maybe siblings. I'm not sure about grandparents, but I'm definitely sure that uncles and aunts don't help.

I hope i get accepted to a good university (not likely, im international) cause I would help me sister get accepted three years later.

ehh.. that's not how it works juliushark

Brown may take a look into it but I'd say no...not much impact. My classmate has parents who are both alumni and he still got rejected.
