Legacy

Both of my grandparents attended Pitt and so did my uncle (all on the same side of the family). My grandmother actually taught at UPitt - Johnstown (my dad went to Penn state though!).

Anyways, does that count as legacy? and does that help me at all for honors college admissions/ grad school guarantees?

Also :) (lol) if i submit my application early (Sept.) with an activities r

I think you'll get in based on your own academic achievements alone, so I wouldn't even count on legacy to get you in. You'll get into honors by yourself.

I don't know about the grad school guarantee - Does Pitt do that? I haven't talked to anybody who got it.

thanks for the reply.

here's the link for the freshmen undergrad guarantees.

University of Pittsburgh: Undergraduate Admissions & Financial Aid

the programs are very selective though based on the requirements.

When schools consider legacies, they mostly look at immediate family (parents and siblings.)

yeah i know that.
