Does legacy apply if both your parents went to grad school at Yale but still donate money?

The Yale application asks for the information:
http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/pdf/yale_supplement_paper.pdf
As you will see, they want to know about any Yale affiliation. That being said, the conventional wisdom is the most potent legacy connection is parents who went to Yale College.

my s-with excellent credentials and lots to offer-was deferred and then rejected from Yale with double grad school legacies who had a pattern of giving (albeit modest).

that may change pretty quickly. i asked my interviewer about finaid and she gave me the party line, but then remarked afterwards when we were done that yale is calling all the alums for money now.

Yale has been calling alumni for money for decades.
