<p>The definition of legacy varies from school to school.</p>
<p>The uncles will almost definitely not count; your son’s grandfather may make him a legacy depending on Dartmouth’s policy. Call and ask.</p>

<p>Unfortunately a grandfather does not make you a legacy at Dartmouth. There was a high stats grandson of a donor Dartmouth grandad this year who did not get in. Search posts by Sherlock.</p>
<p>Almost always grandparents count. Almost always uncles do not count, let alone great-uncles. But like the above poster suggested, Dartmouth could be weird.</p>
