<p>Last year, an admissions officer (admissionsdaniel) used to respond here regularly, and this question came up. (I think you can search the forum to find it). His answer was tactful, and not definitive, but more or less I read it as that being a legacy would be taken into consideration, as a legacy is more apt to know and understand the Hopkins Culture. But it was not going to be a huge factor in the decision, just one more peice of the puzzle. Not sure if he responded to ED v RD, but ED always tips the scales in your favor, so…</p>
