Legal Studies / government`

Could someone at Bowdoin explain the depth of the government major, if internships can be found easily with professors, ect.

Also I am wondering about the Legal Studies path that is partnered with Columbia University and a student’s perspective on this route as well. Seems intriguing and something I may do. Thanks in advance

looks like not many gov ppl here

the government department at bowdoin is large relative to other departments at the school. i suppose it's deep, although not as deep as you'd find at a university.

as for the legal studies program, i don't think it's utilized often. there are many reasons for this. most people don't intend to go to law school as undergrads; many apply a few years after graduating. also, columbia is a very specific law school. some of the better students at bowdoin may desire some place different. some students who struggle with the LSAT may not qualify for the program.

Government and Legal Studies is the most popular major at bowdoin, numbers-wise.
