Crack killed the African American's in terms of rising in socioeconomics, so now that I think about it, legalizing drugs might not be a good idea.

I don't smoke the stuff these days, but IMO pot should be legalized. Either that or criminalize alcohol.

Let me ask a question. Say we legalize all drugs, what benefits would society see besides people enjoying some weed on the corner of the street?

Weed is pretty much legal anyways. I see people light up on the streets and no one gives a ****. The fine for smoking is a joke. Might as well make it official.

Legalization is indeed necessary. For economic reasons amomg others, which all of you have stated above. However, there definitely needs to be some restrictions put in place along the lines of tobacco/alcohol. Also, I think its crucial we prohibit driving** while stoned. For obvious reasons.

I honestly believe when our generation comes to power, legalization, for better or worse, will be a viable issue.

And kinglin, IMO, marijuana would only be sold as tobacco/alcohol is sold. Have you read what classification marjiuana is under current guidelines? It's considered a schedule 1 drug. This equates marijuana with heroin, acid, and it makes it worse than cocaine, meth, and pcp. To any sane person that is some ridiculous sh**. I blame current laws on a small, fanatic subset of puritanical zealots.

Sudoku; my anti-drug

haha sooo many pot threads on CC, this is a record :)

there really isn't an argument for keeping marijuana illegal...alcohol is worse for you than marijuana

Good times. :)

yeah like honestly, why is marijuana illegal? it doesn't hurt people, it doesn't cause you to hurt people, and it's just a freaking recreational activity! if it's immoral, don't smoke it and don't have gay sex either

all for the legalizaiton of marijuana.
