Lehigh and NYU

I was just wondering about the difference between the pre-med programs at Lehigh and NYU. (I posted this same thread in the NYU forum, but want to make sure i get balanced opinions). Just wondering what the opinions are about the two programs.

thanks

Lehigh's not really known for pre-med, but more for engineering. I am in the Arts & Sciences at Lehigh and I don't think I know anyone that is pre-med. Not to say the program isn't good, but if that is your dream, I don't know how intense Lehigh's program is. I am pre-law technically, and it also doesn't really have a developed program. Biology would be your major, I'm assuming, and that's really all I know of the program.

The school has unbelievable facilities, some of which I'm sure would be of great benefit to you, but I also don't know anything about NYU's pre-med program.

Having said that, Lehigh and NYU are probably the most opposite schools out there. Lehigh is a homogeneous, suburban school with green grass, historic architecture, and strong roots in tradition and legacy. It also has a serious Greek system that 50% of the studnet body is in. NYU is a city school without a campus, is more diverse, and I doubt it has Greek life. If it does, it's minimal and nothing like Lehigh's. I'm from New York City, and the way the school is set up is NOTHING like Lehigh's. If you've visited both, you know what I mean.

The choice between the two schools is like night and day, and the pre-med program should not be your only deciding factor. The two schools couldn't be more different.
