How are these two schools?

Both are excellent schools. Lehigh is good in engineering (no engineering at Brandeis). Brandeis is strong in natural sciences, social sciences and arts and humanities.

LEHIGH has a bunch of dual-degree programs and such. You can combine business and engineering, or liberal arts & anything. Just look at their site for all the different opportunities.

How is the location, social life and etc?

My friend goes to Lehigh, and he loves it there. Lehigh has strong business and engineering programs. Also, although Lehigh is located in a rural area, there’s plenty to do on campus.

Brandeis is pretty cool with excellent access to Boston. However, there are no frats or sororities officially recognized by the university, so don’t expect to attend any Animal House-esque frat parties. Brandeis is a bit quieter than most universities- students are not into parties, but more into going to the movies with friends or something similar.

One way to get a sense of the quality of an institution is to check out their alumni bulletin. Perusing through [Lehigh’s bulletin](http://www3.lehigh.edu/news/bulletin/default.asp) reveals a very impressive and loyal alumni base.
