For those who didn’t get the e-mail that was sent this morning:
Greetings from Lehigh! We know this is a difficult time of year as you anxiously await your admissions decision, but we wanted you to know that we’re preparing to release all admissions decisions on our Portal next week. For instructions on how to log onto the Portal, please refer to the email we sent confirming receipt of your application. If you did not receive an email, please be sure to check your SPAM folders as messages were sent out to all applicants.
Once you log into the Portal, please be sure to write down your password for future reference. You will need it when logging on to check your decision. Further, it can take up to 24 hours for information to display in your portal.
We thank you for your interest in Lehigh and will be in touch soon.
Best regards,
J. Leon Washington
Vice Provost of Admissions and Financial Aid
@petrova7 I made a thread the other day discussing the expected time and date for the notification using past dates and times (I linked it in this thread already). It’s been posted just before 4:00pm nearly every time, and this year will probably be no different. So 4:00pm.
@zrubenst anxiously waiting… :-S
@petrova7 I’m going crazy haha 8-}
I can’t see the Admissions Dept even hanging around today when the weather in Bethlehem will be near 65 degrees today!
I’m predicting a 5% chance today…a 20% chance Monday… and the rest on Tuesday @ 3:58…but then again I predicted the Cubs would be in the World Series this year!
@waitingdad what better day to release the decisions! They’ll be out of the office when all of the angry people call haha.
For the last few years Lehigh has been harder and harder to get accepted to which has made more and more students angrier when they get deferred or rejected. Ivy league credentials no longer guarantee acceptance to Lehigh and that is why after the Admissions Dept. hits that send button they flee and flee fast!

@WaitingDad so you’re saying my theory has a chance…?
It’s possible…being out of the office an extra day over this weekend would allow time for screaming parents to calm down…but I’m still going with Wednesday.
Hey waiting dad it’s waiting mom, I can totally empathize with you !
I’ll stick with Monday! Either way i’m totally freaking out
Correction: I meant Tuesday afternoon…a day later only if they had an unusually high number of ED applicants.
It appears it will not be today…less than 72 hours to go…but who is counting.
Is anyone wearing Lehigh gear in anticipation of a positive decision coming this week…or is it considered a jinx?
@waitingdad I am going to drive down to Bethlehem and buy some apparel in the event of an acceptance. I have avoided wearing any college gear until I am accepted, mainly because I would have to purchase it (I am the oldest child, parents didn’t attend Lehigh). From the looks of your username, you seem to be the father of multiple Lehigh-bound children? Idk, I don’t believe in jinxing things, but I am firm in the belief that wearing apparel to a school makes you/me/one feel that they are accepted, which makes the (possible) deferral/rejection even more heartbreaking.
@zrubenst waiting for an acceptance too before wearing any college gear.
The Lehigh Barnes & Noble bookstore www.lehigh.bncollege.com and Lehighgear.com ship very quickly. It is definitely not worth the heartbreak to wear any gear before the decisions come out…and then if your dream comes true…order away!
My son got the NCAA Basketball Game as his first Lehigh purchase. I knew he chose Lehigh when he made them his team in the game. Mothers are always the last to know.
Good luck everyone! One of the best times of your life is about to begin!!! I hope some of you choose to stay involved with College Confidential next year and share your experiences and help the next class with their questions.
Best of luck everyone!!!
