You could try using your two initials and then 222 :-?
@primenumber thank youuu so much!! Not super smart, just good at hustling B-) :))
@greeneandh do you have any idea what three initials would be used if you have no middle name?
Not sure :-? My name is Sam R. So if I didn’t have have a Middle initial, I think it would be “sr222”?
I tried using my first two initials and it wouldn’t work
I think that this portal trick is cool, but I don’t know what each of the different responses means… :O)
my response is “Unable to locate forgotten security questions” Did anyone else get that? Doesn’t sound to promising to me lol.
@collegelehigh do you have a middle initial? Or did it work for u with your first and last name initial?
@sbk90078 No I have a middle name that I used the initial of.
I hate waiting like this I wish there was a specific date and time when decisions will be released. Instead, I’m constantly checking my applicant portal. Has anyone heard yet?
You guys are detectives omg :0 I don’t have a middle name, but I tried using the first two letters of my first name and the first letter of my last name to replace the missing initial of my middle name. I then got the “Unable to locate forgotten security questions” response. Probably doesn’t mean anything. Let’s try not to overanalyze! (Although overthinking a situation is my forte)
@deliriouslydead and @collegelehigh !! I have that message too. If you saw my other post, I said that it’s like 50% reliable LOL! This was a little trick I’ve been testing out for the past month, and when I tried in Feb, I got invalid username. Now I have a different message.
You need a username and password to create security questions, which is found once you’ve been accepted and activated your account. So it MAY be correlated, since it says we haven’t created the questions yet(you need these questions to reset pass), and for others it is not working, but try not to get hopes too high! ( but it is very exciting!!)
Also, for the people who put two initials, it seems like you get the same results. Either you haven’t set up security questions or it flat out doesn’t work… :-S
Since this doesn’t 100% tell you that you’ve been admitted, I wouldn’t be super confident of acceptance if you got the security question message, I’m trying hard not to lol :-?
I just want to warn anyone messing with their portal that their is a fairly easy way to gain access to information that prospective students DEFINITELY shouldn’t have access to. I would just recommend not doing anything further than what the people above me are saying to do.
I tried logging in, but I guess someone has my same initials because the security questions all looked foreign to me lol.
@deliriouslydead I also tried that and got the same result because I have no middle name either
Do you guys think we’ll get our decision tomorrow or on Friday?
If decisions were going to be released tomorrow, do you think they would be delayed because of the snow?
Why would they? The decisions should all be done by now. Shouldn’t they?
They should be done but the admissions office staff would need to go home early before the snow so thats why decisions are being delayed
Can you all stop trying to “hack” the system to see your decisions earlier? There are no shortcuts in life, so just wait a little longer.
^Also, I wouldn’t try to do that. Last year some 300 Harvard applicants found a “back-door” way of viewing their admissions decisions early and got their acceptances taken away. Don’t be those kids.
