Just got my (long-awaited) rejection from Northwestern–I hope Lehigh pulls through and gives me some good news (the portal trick didn’t work favorably for me, however). 8-|

@MrElonMusk I see you on every thread for every school and you know people are nervous. I accidentally started a small thing (whoops) but I see how you’ve reacted. Sometimes you type in caps and always tell kids not to look into things, etc. If no one’s listening then why?
someone is always going to find more speculation. I am sure if someone else found the portal trick, I would be trying it all night, because we’re all stressed.

@greeneandh It’s amusing to watch how the thread progresses when new speculation comes out but eventually it goes too far and becomes repetitive. I post solely to debunk the speculation. It gets even funnier when people continue to feed on the speculation after I debunk…

@MrElonMusk (for the record, I’m already committed to BU and am on this thread because a friend is waiting for Lehigh RD to come out and I’ve been trying to scoop out info for her) with all due respect, you’re applying to colleges just like all of us. while it may be “amusing” to you, it is important to other people and many appreciate when this speculation occurs. i certainly did when the portal message proved i got into BU before decisions were released for ED1, and i wouldn’t try denying that it is indicative for ED1 at least, there’s at least two years of evidence proving it. i watched you be rude/condescending to the RD BU applicants on that thread and it baffles me that you continue to be so on this thread. frankly, especially because you are applying to colleges just like the rest of us this year, your words are not doing anything to change anyone’s minds, and you are just upsetting people. if people want to speculate, why does it matter to you? you can choose to read whatever threads and whatever posts you want, just ignore the ones discussing portal and email messages if you really don’t like them!!
@sunflowerlover I apologize if I offended you or anyone else when I posted debunks of speculation. I never said speculation was bad. It is healthy. It becomes unhealthy when too many people jump on and try it out when previously many have said the speculation is false already. I am on these threads for my own benefit and for the benefit of others. I do not mean to be rude or make fun of others, I am simply just trying to help.
