wah, im not even thinking about dorms yet, i just wanna get accepted lol.

Hey guys! I applied EDI to Lehigh too I’m so nervous, as is everyone else, as I can see, haha. I applied for undeclared Engineering, although I’m pretty sure I want to major in Electrical. I was actually thinking about applying for the IDEAS program, because I love to draw and I’m pretty good at it… but I decided against it.

When I went for a visit, I heard the tour guide say that they send a rooming survey out to students, which has questions like, “Are you messy or neat”? And the results are used to match you with a suitable roommate.

I don’t want to check the portal for the admittance decision, because I possibly might only be applying to and opening one college letter in my lifetime (hopefully, if I get accepted). So I promised my dad we’d open the letter together… it kinda sucks I might have to wait a few more days though for the mail. Luckily I’m just across the state, so it should only take a day longer, if that.

has anybody heard any news about when they’re posting the news?

I called today and the woman who answered the phone in admissions said that the letters would be sent out next week, probably on the 15th and that the results would be posted “probably the same day”. I’m hoping she’s wrong, and that the letters go out sooner!

Last year the results were posted online on a selected date and the letter arrived a few days later.

I don’t know if I can wait until Wednesday! It’s all I can think about

I read that article yesterday as a way to try and calm my nerves, haha. I think it said 939 people applied ED last year, and of that, 57.8% were accepted (543 people). That makes me feel a little better, but I still haven’t been able to think about anything else since last Wednesday.

o_O

so the decision will be on the portal on wednesday at any random time? and then they send the letter the same day? ahhh I can’t wait any longer

It says Mid-December though. Although I have a very thin chance of getting in, (Lot of FA + International) I love the school.

so nerve wracking!!! does everyone think they have a good chance of getting in? I’m scared to death at this point!

is anyone else thinking of calling admissions? last year they mailed decisions out on the 11th

“Good Chance”!!! I have almost NIL. All we can do is wait… :(

Have you guys heard about that LDAP thing? Where you can search your name and if an email address shows up you’re admitted? I found the link from last year, [LDAP Query](<a href=“Lehigh University LDAP results”>Lehigh University People Directory (LDAP) Search)

I searched everyone I knew was applying and so far nothing’s coming up, maybe we can keep checking up until the 15th.

^^ Never heard of it. Please enlighten us. Are you sure?

Basically, if you look at the thread from 2 years ago, (I can’t seem to find a class of 2014 decisions thread) everyone searched their name on the LDAP and the people whose names showed up in the directory with an email address were granted admission whereas those who didn’t were either deferred or rejected. I don’t think they’re up yet considering no one I know who has applied is showing up yet. (Too scared to search myself, haha)

Hmm, that LDAP thing sounds interesting, but I’d be too scared to try it too, haha.

I was really expecting the letters to be mailed yesterday, because it was a Friday like last year. If you think about it, if they didn’t mail them yesterday, that means if they have any intent of mailing them before the 15th, they’d have to wait until Monday, since they wouldn’t be working on the weekends.

Is anyone else thinking of waiting for the letter and not checking online?

As for chances… idk. I feel like it’s 50-50 for me. My ACT scores and SAT math is within range, but my reading is slightly below the middle 50%. I visited campus and submitted a few of my drawings with my application, so I hope that balances things out.

I have tried LDAP query today with my name, and no match found! @_@
Keeks123, do you know when we can check it out? It’s already Dec 11, only four days left. Man, I am so excited!

If someone checks it and their name comes up, just post it here so we can check the LDAP as well.

Hey, does anyone know how the financial aid offices works? Do they consider every applicant with a package, or do they wait to see who is accepted first and determine packages from there?

I just got a letter from the financial aid office today saying they were missing two minor papers/forms. It seems very late for them only realize this now. Also, I feel like it’d be kind of pointless to send the letter less then a week away from the decision date…

If they determine packages after acceptance, hopefully this is a good sign?

Any interpretations?

You should definitely send the papers anyway. I got the same letter about two weeks ago, but they are very important if you get accepted. You could be looking at no financial aid if you don’t send those papers soon.
