Essays were good. Got them edited by an uncle in UK.

Recs were good. Counselor and Teachers knew me well.

You have a fantastic resume! The 800 is Math and 790 in Physics is really impressive. Your community involvement is wonderful. Lehigh really would be lucky to have you. I hope you were able to visit the campus? Demonstrated interest is important to them.

Here is what scares me - you indicated you need financial aid. How much financial aid do you need? Applied Early Decision 2 means you have committed to going to Lehigh REGARDLESS of what financial package they offer you. You will not be able to compare financial offers from other colleges.

Don’t get me wrong I would love for Lehigh to get such a fantastic student. But, I am puzzled. You have such an outstanding record why are you applying Early Decision? You could get into many very good schools. If you NEED financial aid why don’t you apply regular decision to a bunch of really good schools and see who gives you the best financial aid package?

Do you realize Lehigh does not have to let you out of your Early Decision commitment if you don’t like their financial aid offer. I would urge you to change your application from Early Decision to Regular Decision.

Thankyou so much Kikkydee. I have emailed Lehigh admissions with the query.
However, I forgot to mention that i am an international student from Asia.
So will the ED commitment rules be different for me?
Furthermore, i have applied regular to a bunch of colleges all over the US. Fingers Crossed!
I would imagine all colleges and universities in the United States honor the Early Decision policy for all students who apply. If you are applying to colleges in other countries they might not care about the US colleges’s policies. But that is just my guess.
I have no doubt you will get into some great schools.
