Lehigh girls?

Okay so I've heard this from three sources now. I hear the girls are less than attractive. Don't get me wrong I'm all for a great education but I want college to be a fun time. Are the girls really that bad looking? I find it hard to believe that there is no good looking girls on campus.

Plenty of good looking girls on campus, but don’t expect it to be like College of Charleston… or any school in the south for that matter.

Word of warning for you, though (since I read your other thread), most of the good looking girls join Sororities. Good luck getting with them after first semester, if you aren’t planning on pledging. Also, freshman are pretty much limited to hooking up with other freshmen. Luckily for you it seems that the ratio M/F has been getting better each year and I’ve already seen some cuties in the class of '15.

Long story short: yes, there are good looking girls on campus - probably more than most people give us credit for. No, they aren’t of the same calibre as girls at certain other schools. They go Greek, and unless you do, you’ll have a tough time getting with the best looking girls here.

I have to disagree with the statement that all good looking girls go Greek, it is simply not true. My son has a very attractive female friends who are not pledging.
But perhaps if your goal is to engage in random hookups, a school like Lehigh, with strong academics, may not be your best bet.

I never said that all good looking girls go Greek… so I agree that yes, it’s not true that 100% of the good looking girls go greek, but I’d appreciate if you read my posts just a little closer before jumping on what I said :)

Most of my good looking friends went Greek.

Most of the good looking girls I have met are in sororities.

I know some girls who are good looking that didn’t go Greek, but the majority that I know went Greek.

Copaman, I don’t know if you know this, but rumor is that 6 of the 8 Philadephia Eagles cheerleaders applied to Lehigh this year and all were accepted for the Class of 2015 but don’t plan on joining a sorority. Good luck there.

^:p :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:
10cHAR!!

Japanoko - haha!

NYSoccer, My son’s expereince is - he knows many very beautiful young women at Lehigh, majority have not gone Greek as most are in engineering and they need to study a good amount.

Many of my daughter’s Lehigh friends both male and female are very attractive, wholesome looking kids. Most of them are athletes and not members of a frat or sorority.

I am going to visit my friend at lehigh this weekend so we’ll see how it really is. Hopefully it’ll be a pleasant surprise. How about the location? I know its an old mill town so what is your opinion on it?

I don’t know if you know this but I didn’t go Greek :slight_smile:

========

There isn’t much of a location honestly. The side of Bethlehem you can get to as a frosh is pretty ghetto. Stay on campus for the most part. It is definitely not Boston or New York City.

Do you plan on going to party at all when you come to
visit this weekend? It is certainly another part of the “girls” equation… especially with the stance you’re taking.

Of course I’m coming to party haha my friend told me we’re going to hit up different types of parties (frat vs non frat) so I can get a feel for how it is at lehigh

^^^^if we don’t hear from NYsoccer again it means that he fell in love with a Lehigh girl from the Dravo freshman dorms, or that he got kidnapped by 40 beautiful Lehigh Sorority girls and hasn’t been seen leaving the Sorority house for a few days!

lehigh.me;

Hahaha sounds good to me

the 6 girls going to lehigh from my school are all varsity cheerleaders.

What % of girls join sororities? How many girls are in the school/ each class?

From what I have heard from admissions, roughly 1/3 are in the greek system. Overall undergraduates are 59% male, 41% female. This is skewed by engineering and is close to 50/50 in other majors from what I understand. Number of girls in your class will differ depending upon your major.
