lehigh ibe program vs northeastern eng. vs georgia tech eng.

Lehigh has a long standing & well-respected engineering program. Do you know any engineers? Ask them–Lehigh is a respected name among those who know engineering.

One thing that is important to know about the IBE program, however, is that this 4-year program will NOT RESULT IN AN ENGINEERING DEGREE–you will not graduate as an “engineer”. From Lehigh’s website:

“The 4 year IBE degree is not an engineering degree, but rather is an accredited business degree. Assuming an IBE student majors in an engineering discipline, he or she is roughly 15 to 20 credits short (depending on major) of satisfying the requirements for an engineering degree. Thus a 4 year IBE student will finish a complete business degree and most of an engineering degree.” I think this is an important distinction–you need to add another year or so go get a real engineering degree.
