Yeah unfortunately I’m unsure how that works exactly, but I would imagine if there’s no open seats there is no open seats… It’d be nice if they reserved some for transfer students, but I’m not certain if that’s the case. It’s such a shame and I’m so discouraged for more reasons than one, but it’s especially a tough pill to swallow because I’m an engineering major and due to my family situation I HAVE to commute. Unfortunately there aren’t many options for engineering majors locally. If I don’t get accepted to Lehigh, it looks like I’ll be commuting more than an hour one way…
If you want do see past data on transfers, go to the common data set (public record):
http://www.lehigh.edu/~oir/cds.html
and you can see what happens from year to year (when you get to the document click on bottom tab that says CDS-D).
Hope this helps.
@ODarling I am really sorry to hear that. I think you should try to call the admission office to check out what is the drawback of your application. And did you check you portal again today. Because when I checked out today it shows a different message. In my application decision session, it stated that the transfer application decision will be posted in Mid-May. Did you get the same thing?
@LehighNum1 Did you refresh your portal today? Is that the same decision as yesterday?
My portal shows a different message too. It said I was accepted Wednesday night but now it says that the transfer app. decision will be posted mid May. Did you fix yours? Is this happening for anyone else?
@FUSCRNMS I have no idea how to fix this. I’m waiting for them to mail the decision. Congrats to your acceptance, do you mind to share your stats?
Stats wise the things I really had going for me were that I had previously applied (and was rejected,) and that I’m a legacy. My college gpa wasn’t stellar 3.75 but I took a bunch of higher level math classes that brought it down. I also applied as an Econ major which probably helped because I think most applied for engineering.
I was accepted, received a packet in the mail.
