Lehigh University Chances and Questions

Hello everyone,

I just joined the forum today as I have a few questions about both my chances as well as a few questions about my current courses. I hope am I posting this in the correct forum, thanks in advance.

I am a sophomore at a noted public high school in New Jersey. My freshman year classes were as follows:

English I Honors - B+
Modern World History Honors - A-
Spanish II CP - A
Geometry CP - A
Biology CP - A
Introduction to Business - A
TV I - A
Gym/Health - A

Overall Weighted GPA - 4.0

Sophomore Year Classes

English II Honors
US I Honors (AP Curriculum, though, only given honors credit)
Chemistry Honors
Spanish III CP
Algebra II CP
Accounting I
Computer Applications
Gym/Drivers Education

Here are my questions. To begin with, I feel confident in my class work to improve my English grade given my English teacher last year was considered one of the lesser proficient teachers. Many students have told me that they have had this teacher, and have gotten a “B” in her class, then moved onto English II Honors and have gotten at least an “A-”. I feel confident in Chemistry, my electives and other classes to maintain a 4.0 between them all. Now, I am concerned for history. My teacher is a great person, and an incredible educator, yet, is a notoriously hard grader. I am expecting a “C” for the marking period, and possibly that to a “B” as my final grade. If I do end with a C, will that hurt my admissions chances severely, if so, should I drop into the CP level?

I participated on the Varsity Golf Team as a freshman, and will probably be the captain this year as well as participated in an investing club. I plan on founding a card club to help senior citizens in our community as well as a fishing club with my friend.

I have two uncles who attended this university, as well as my father being cousins with the head football coach.

What are my chances?

Sincerely,
knears

Unless you are recruited for football, this will not get you anything.

Thank you for the input.

Disagree. Lehigh is a school known for community. Having a relative on staff is a bonus at a school like this.

That is also called nepotism.

Interesting, thank you for your input.
