Lehigh university: do i have a shot?

I'm thinking of applying to Lehigh next year (early admission), but i'm not exactly sure what they're looking for. Right now, my gpa is at a 3.98, and i'm ranked 26 out of 600 or so students. I'm a female and was born overseas in Lebanon (I came to the u.s. at around the age of 7 not that i personally feel that would give me any leverage over others either way). Anyhow, as of right now, i will receive my sat scores on thursday, so i know this is a bit vague. I'm very active in my school, i was on the tennis team for two years, was a library aid,on the debate team, in student government association, i've been class president for two years now (going on three! yayy haha), i've recently been accepted to the national honors society, and i really hope to be in my schools construction company next year. When it comes to clubs, i usually have myself switch things up every year. It's not that i don't like commitment, I just want to get the most experiences possible out of just four years. As for my classes, i took on two AP classes this year (the rest honors) and next year i will be taking on four AP classes and the rest dual enrollment. When it comes to the AP classes,i usually receive high grades on exams and so on. In a nutshell: do you think i have a shot?

Yes, you have a shot. At first glance, I’d say a pretty good shot, but your SAT score will be important. Did you take the PSAT? That tends to be a decent indicator of your SAT score.

To be honest i misplaced my PSAT score sheet the week I got it back, but i believe my might of been in the 1700’s.

The average critical writing at LeHighis around 620. Math is around 680. Assuming your writing is in a similar range, an average score for LeHigh is about 1950. A 1800ish would put you in the top 75%.

You have no idea how quick i want tomorrow to go. hahaha! hopefully, my score is in the 1800 range. thank you :)

Good luck! Let us know. What attracts you to LeHigh?

two things really:

 1. the environment. There’s always something happening on campus, so many organizations and clubs available to choose from, and the Lehigh v. Lafayette competition is the best!
 2. The challenge. When it comes to college I really want a school that’s going to push me to work to the best of my ability and help me get the best out of my four years. With Lehigh’s academically competitive classes, I know I can do just that :)

Lehigh is very big on demonstrated interest. Visit the campus and register for the tour, stop by their booth at college fairs, etc. Show them the love.
