I am an international student from Asia and is planning to major in Engineering. My main concern with Lehigh is that not many people in my country have ever heard of the college, so is Lehigh well known outside of PA or the tri-state area? In terms of academics which is more highly regarded, PSU or Lehigh engineering?

Right now, I am leaning more towards PSU because of the size and the atmosphere. Though I am concern that with the recent scandal will PSU still be the same as before in terms of education quality? And money is not a concern for me, I just want to get the best education.

So, any advice guys??

Thank you!

Lehigh is a smaller college. PSU is huge. Which type of setting do you prefer?

Lehigh may not be as well known as PSU, but they have a top notch engineering department. PSU will also give you a topnotch education.

Most American Colleges probably aren’t going to be well-known in Asia (aside from top Ivies, etc). However, I think Lehigh is a great school and known for engineering.

“Lehigh is that not many people in my country have ever heard of the college”

Doesn’t matter. Your employers will know. One is Liberal arts college and other is a big University. Its not a hard decision.

Unless you got into the Schreyer honors college, i don’t think it’s a hard decision… Lehigh > PSU
