Lehigh vs Villanova vs Rutgers

Hello,

I applied and was accepted to all these schools as a Chem Engineering major. For Lehigh, I was accepted into the Integrated Degree for Engin and Arts& Sciences. And @ Rutgers I was also admitted into the Honors program with a $10,000 scholarship. Overall, the amt I'd have to pay is almost the same for all three (except Lehigh b/c I still haven't recieved fin aid)...Which college would you recommend? What are the pro and cons, as I am not 100% sure I want to pursue engin...i am thinking of perhaps pursuing med later.

Advice is greatly appreciated Thanks!

Lehigh’s ChE department is a top 25 or so in the ChE field and the Integrated Degree is fantastic. Lehigh’s school for engineering and the university overall is higher ranked and considered better academically than the other two.

the size of the undergraduate body is smaller than the other two and more manageable, particular compared to Rutgers.

Lehigh wins this one…enroll, then be part of the fun Lehigh/Lafayette Spirit week leading to the big football game:

Thank You!
I know Lehigh is best for engineering, but if they provide me with a not-so-appealing fin aid pckg, what other school (villanova or rutgers~honors) should I consider? Also, can anyone please provide me with a deeper insight into Chem Eng? I know the subj encompasses mathematics, chem, and physics, but it would be great if someone can add to this ‘wealth’ of knowledge.

I wouldn’t say that. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of Villanova engineers I’ve hired and have not been impressed at all with the Lehigh graduates. As a result, I consider Nova to be the better school for chemical engineering, and anecdotally, it seems like most other hiring managers I’ve discussed it with have agreed with me.
