Class20009, if I remember correctly my daughter did not need a counselor or teacher recommendation until she applied for the Hutton Honors College. All she had to do was
submit her application online and get her transcripts sent. At her school she had to fill out a transcript request form (that we had to sign since she was not 18) and the school sent it. It sounds like at your school transcripts go out through the guidance department. If so, have your parents, or you (depending on your age) get an official transcript sent through the front office of the school.

To me 4 college counselors for 200 students sounds like it should be much more efficient than it seems to be at your school. My daughter's school had about 450 students and only one full time college counselor that still got things done in a timely manner.

i love this thread lol
i was reading this thread and i was like
hey i applied early september and i didnt get any notification by email
so i checked on the indiana website application status and i was accepted!!!!!!!!!

question...i applied for the kelley business school so does this mean im accepted to the business school too

if you didn't send it the app in around august, they take forever to get back to you. mine took about 2 weeks but i did it right when they opened

I have a question I'm hoping you guys could help me out with. I submitted my online transfer application as well as arranged for my college transcripts to be rush delivered about 3 weeks ago. In my online status it says my application is incomplete because my transcripts are not on file. Should I be worried there was a problem with the reception of my transcripts or is this due to the school being overwhelmed with applications at the moment?

Oz--We've found that the online status is not always up-to-date on what is/is not missing. Even the day before my D received the online "congrats" it said her SAT scores and transcript were missing. Her SAT scores had been sent in May.

A quick call to admissions can confirm they received everything. Are you transferring in Fall '09 or Spring '09. If it's fall '09 expect a very long wait for a decision. I recall a poster here from last year that waited months. It seems as if they complete freshman admissions first and move to transfers as time permits.

I would also expect that there was are recent deluge in apps as the scholarship deadline is tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your response rrah, I was really starting to get worried. I'm transferring for fall 09' so hopefully I don't have to wait too long. I'll definitely give them a call to ease my mind.

well when it gets closer to nov. 1st (preferred deadline regardless of rolling) it usually takes longer. my friend applied early september and got her decision within a week or two. i applied 3 weeks ago and they haven't even logged in my transcripts last i checked. :(

I'm in the same boat happyface, its been stressing me out thinking they lost my transcript or something lol. I should really stop procrastinating and give them a call haha.
