Length of Brown/RISD dual degree essay

I attached it on a separate sheet… about a page and a half in length. Is this too long?

mine was a full page single spaced

roughly 1 3/4 page double spaced

were we supposed to double-space it?

i didnt double space mine

I’m so nervous!! i REALLY want to do the dual program.. it’s p.e.r.f.e.c.t.

Mine was seven.

After a page-long introduction.

I really can’t tell if you are joking.
If you aren’t joking, how did you write seven pages? About what?

wow 7. that’s a lot..

Does anyone think that if I emailed a professor (with some questions, input, a little about me and why I’m interested etc) that I really aspire to take classes from, they would possibly put a good word in for me to the admissions office? Would it help and have you ever heard of anyone doing this and being successful?

I highly doubt they’ll contact admissions, but it would have been something to write about in your essay that may have stood out.

they won’t contact admiss for you. but it would be a good way to find out more information.

As for you kiddos who think this is the p.e.r.f.e.c.t. program, it may be. But chances of getting in are slim and you can really get virtually the same thing from being enrolled in either school. in fact some people ARE doing the exact same thing right now. Now it’s just “official” with the school. So don’t despair if you are only privliged enough to get admission to only RISD or only Brown. Fo Sho.

Seven pages on an artistic quandry.

artistic quandary? dude that just sounds pretentious. uber. uuuuber.

Heh, I know, I am kidding.

(A little too dry?)

you mean you didn’t write about an artistic quandary?

thank the lord.
