Length of common app essay

<p>Hey, I was looking at the instruction and saw that there was only a minimum limit of words and not a maximum one. How long should my essay be? because it's pretty long now but I don't know how to cut it more. could it be more than a page and a half?</p>

<p>I would have the essay around 500-600 words. You don’t want the essay too long. </p>

<p>Mine is 521 words.</p>
