<p>Hi everyone. I was just wondering how long your Why Chicago essays were. The supplement says that it should be one or two paragraphs, but is that a very strict guideline? Mine is currently weighing in at around 550, and I want to know if I should trim it down.</p>
<p>Mine was a terse ~250 words, but I think it’s more important to write naturally and with style than seek to meet a length requirement. I’m sure Chicago won’t care, so long as the length is within reasonable length.</p>
<p>Mine was 615 words, and they didn’t care—cause I got in EA. Good luck!</p>
