hey, so i've seen a few posts regarding gay life in montreal and how open and accepting it is or whatever, but i'm hoping someone can be more direct in answering my question: what is the undergraduate lesbian population like at McGill? like, in terms of percentages. in other words, will it be really easy for me to meet/date gay girls, or am i mainly going to be confined to celibacy?

At McGill, it is believed that 10% (~2,500 students) is LGB.

I know there are A LOT of events, both social and academic, for the LGBT community at McGill and in Montreal. For example, at QPIRG McGill’s Radical Frosh (the alternative to SSMU frosh), we went to The Gay Village the first night for some bar/club-hopping. QPIRG McGill & Concordia, 2110 for Gender Advocacy, McGill Union for Gender Empowerment, etc. tend to organize the more educational/academic/social justice events.

Hope that helps somewhat!
