I was accepted to many women's colleges, i.e. Smith, wellesley, Bryn Mawr, and Mount Holyoke, but was wondering how prevalent lesbianism is on campus. I read the account of two smithies raping another, and that straight girls just don't fit in at women's colleges. Anyone know how accurate this is? I am straight, and just want to make sure I am comfortable in college.

I think you'll be fine at Wellesley, they have a much lower lesbian population than some of the other women's colleges do.

The majority of girls are straight.

It's a bit of a concern for me too- although I respect people's individual choices, I don't want to be the one straight girl on campus. I really hope it's not too hard to meet boys.

Yeah, I know what you mean elizabeth22. I also hope that it isn't too hard to meet boys. Homosexuality and the choices people make don't bother me, however, rest assured that you won't be the only straight girl on campus.

I second that!

And I third!
