I’m planning to major in English. I live on the west coast and got into Lesley with a medium sized scholarship. Does anyone know if this school is half decent? From the reviews I’ve read, it’s very liberal, and there’s a ton of “non binary” “no gender” type people there.
To each their own, but I’d be hoping my roommate is an actual girl, not someone pretending to be a boy.
Just wondering what people’s experiences with this school are, if it’s worth flying across the country for.
Thanks.
What are your stats?
Depending on your stats it could be a perfect fit or not…
What’s your budget?
Don’t just look at the scholarship - calculate
(Tuition, fees, room board) - (scholarship, grant)=
Lesley is like a CSU but with private school amenities.
I have a friend whose nonbinary child (named after me) graduated from Lesley. Child is now a high school science teacher in a very good school system and making quite decent money for a young person. Child is a wonderful enthusiastic person. Child was also paired with another nonbinary kid as a roommate at Lesley, and from their Facebook feeds I gather they’re still great friends who do everything together and friend just landed a very nice job.
So from the small set of outcomes that I know, Lesley is quite the decent college. Boston is a wonderful town to go to college in, very easy to get around in, lots of things are designed expressly for college students’ convenience. Personally I think you ought to go for it.
But honestly, the question of whether they would pair you with a person who is questioning their gender is better asked to the admissions office than to a bunch of random strangers on the internet. And if that’s what is keeping you from committing to the college then don’t give them a yes or no yet. You don’t have to say anything until May, right? Hang on, see where else you’re admitted, maybe take a spring break tour.

Thank you for your reply. I also got into Emerson college in Boston, which is my top choice but very very expensive. I guess I will just wait and see.
