what happens if i decide to take only 14 units in the spring? im way ahead in my double major and even though im a sophomore i have almost a years worth of credit- basically i have junior standing. basically, whats the worst possible thing that could happen?

uhh, nothing?

min to be full time is 12 units.

actually 12 units for transfers, 13 units for ppl who came as freshmen

^in which case he would still be golden

enjoy it. take it easy and start taking 13 units each quarter (3 classes). Or buckle down and finish a year early, so you can save some money.

no one cares as long as you meet the 12 or 13 unit minimum.

actually they care if it means youre not meeting your ecp and its the quarter they are checking cause theyll stick a hold on your record and you have to go through the trouble of seeing a counselor

^also doesn't apply to him since he's a sophomore with junior standing.

but good advice for everyone else. Then again, I think most people that come through this forum would not have a problem with it.

does anyone know the actual number for the ecp thing?
i'm a first year
came in with 15
fall took 15
winter took 15
might take 13 spring

i'm good right?

on your my.ucla, click the link on the left that says ECP.
