Less than 40 days left…

So what’s everyone doing while they wait for their EA results? Applying to other colleges? Biting your fingernails? Sitting around?

i had the freakenisest scariest nightmare last night.... i dreamed that i went to check the mail... and found a small evelope from stanford: a deferal letter. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. it has to be a premonition!!!!! i mean, why would i dream a defferal instead of rejection???!!! details like that make me believe that it wasn't just SOME dream, but a real omen. i know that some of you will be cynical disbelievers, but those of you who experience those deja vu moments know what i'm talking about... well that dream was totally some premonition. no joke.

which is really bad cause senioritis is killing my grades.

I was flipping coins the other day. Since there’s a 50-50 chance that an applicant will be rejected-not rejected, I thought I’d use coins to predict my chances (haha…how foolish). Heads= not rejected Tails= rejected. I ended up getting 13 heads and 22 tails. :p

Senioritis is killing me too. Lots of late work.

I've been doing my best not to think about what the committee will talk about when they get to my app. Been stealing a lot of candy from my college counselor, trying to laugh a lot to stop pessimism from creeping in. Oh, and I'm very hard at work procrastinating on my RD stuff.

slacking off on my uc essays.

I had a really sweet dream I got in a couple nights ago. Not that it means anything really.

It should go by pretty quickly...only two more weeks until thanksgiving holidays...and then two more weeks until we find out! Good luck everyone!

HEHE! I have been throwing myself into anthropological research, high school, and hanging out! Seriously, I don't even think about Stanford every hour anymore! I'm just going to work on my Berkeley and USC apps, and then get everything out of my hair soon. After that, I'm going to enjoy being a senior in high school. The chips will fall where they may. I mean, I can't do anything at this point other than send in my updated transcript because my SCHOOL SCREWED UP. But yeah. RELAX, and GOOD LUCK everyone...

I wonder if they've started reading the apps already. .

i had a dream in the summer that i got a 1 on one AP test and a 6 on another
so moral of the story is that dont take dreams seriously...haha

i'm trying to keep my mind off of stanford. everytime i look at some site or some student's opinion about how great stanford, it'll only heighten my disappointment when i get that thin envelope in december that i'm expecting. i'm applying to a grip of other schools, and after that is done, i'll be practically done with high school ... haha

my grades are slipping, straight off the face of this earth by the way.

haha dreams, don't shaft them aside. I accurately predicted my SAT I Math and Writing scores, lol.

In waiting for that anorexic envelope, I've been getting myself high on another love: namely Duke ;).

So a thin envelope is never good? :)

i'm applying to duke... mainly my second choice school. seems awesome. but i haven't heard as much horror stories about duke's admission process as i have about stanford's or any ivy league schools... yet it's still prestigious. hopefully SOMEONE will take me, haha

whoo...after stanford app, i felt like i didn't wanna do anymore college apps. i'm feelin lazy...

amen to sirmomo. i need to get off my butt and working.

agreed. Gotta get my Duke essay finished by next wekk

HAHAHA, senioritis. I skipped my AP Stat class today, and we had a quiz today (tests and quizzes make up 70% of the grade). Since I was hanging around in another classroom instead, I got a 0. Woohoo! Senioritis rocks. Anyway, yeah, writing other college essays. I still need to do my Robertson Scholars essays and my USC and UPenn apps, and the Common App. Yeah, baby! Thank god for caffeine highs.

Dude, skipping class just to be in another classroom AND not being able to make it up? Boo!

shame on you megalomaniac

Haha, well, it's not going to kill my grade, we have three more tests, and god knows how many quizzes. Thing is, I learn absolutely no Stat in class. My teacher's is really good at math, not so good at teaching. And as long as I get good grades and 5 the AP exam, he doesn't care what I do. So I use Stat as a sort of study hall.
