Yeah, the barefoot trek. lol.

it does snow in Cali....in the mountains lol

I've lived in/near Palo Alto all my life. It has unfortunately never snowed. But it snows up in Tahoe, if you don't mind the drive. =P

I don't think I've ever gotten a rejection letter. Do they at least word it nicely?

Someone wrote on another forum that their deferral was written so nicely they didn't even think it was an admissions decision.

I think i'd rather them just say it how it is, no sugar coating. Just be like "You weren't good enough, Peace"

I've gotten 3 rejection letters and 3 calls (orchestras). They're all "nice" but that doesn't make them sound nice haha.
The only rejection letter I liked was from MITE2S. It said MITE2S rejects have a higher acceptance rate to MIT and they are sending me an application without requesting one...yay?

I got rejected to a program, and they were too lazy to send out emails to everyone, so they posted a blanket rejection online. I send them a piece of my mind back...only it was like 5 months later.

But the sweet taste of getting accepted to things is like nothing else.

Lemme guess, Ashveer, CCIS? What did you say to them?

rejection letters for orchestras and programs????

goodness, the only rejection notice i got in the mail was from target, i wasn't qualified enough to be a cart dependent :(

all this dreaming about getting admitted to stanford and i can't even get hired for a job at target.... i need to take my life one step at a time

lol well, if you apply/audition for a lot of stuff you'll get rejected a lot like me :) But don't worry in the end it worked out for me, and it will for everyone I think.
I hate when people don't send rejection letters. I mean people are feeling bad as it is for not getting in and they make it worse by basically saying "We don't even care enough about you to send a nice letter. We'll let you figure it out." grrrr

Ohhhh Avalon, please email me your number, I've lost it, we've GOT to talk.

this is so delayed.

but i want a congratulations sticker soooo bad.

lol - guess you guys can relate (duh)

What instrument do you play bluephish?

oboe :P I <3 it

Bluefish, I can't remember if you are from CA or not, but if so, are you on the State symphony in SF?

I'm from CA but southern. u?

Im in sackatomatoes, I just thought you might know my oboeist (sp) friend.

Ashveer--

I e-mailed the address you gave me over summer. :)

I might know him/her. I knew a few oboists from up north.

You all should join the Stanford band if you get in.
