<p>Ben Jones, an admissions counselor at MIT (his username on CC is "benjones"--check out MIT forum) recently said that a 760 is <em>DEFINITELY NOT</em> worth a retake. I assume that most universities use score ranges because performance varies between each test even if you're exactly the same (study-wise). So anything 760+ and you should be fine.</p>
<p>Oh please, it's very unlikely that they would reject you if you had stellar essays but merely had 750 on Math IIC over someone with mediocre essays and an 800.</p>
