<p>So, I'm a new transfer (and a bit younger; i'm 18 in January). Just got roommate assignments, and I'm paired with 2 girls who are already friends, not in my major, 2+ years older than me, and have been here since freshman year. Am I totally screwed?</p>
<p>Has anyone else gotten sucky assignments?</p>
<p>Don’t worry, you’re no screwed. First off, these girls are only your room mates: you’re going to be making a lot of friends at ucla outside of your room. In fact, there are plenty of people i know who weren’t good friends with their room mates during their freshman year, but they found their own groups of friends to hang with.</p>
<p>With that said, there was also a room during my first year that had three girls, where two of them knew each other since elementary school and the other one was from norcal. The three of them are so close now that my group of friends refer to them as three parts of a whole. </p>
