<p>I'm a senior and I just finished applying to UCSC among a few other UCs. But I secretly really want to go to UCSC.</p>

<p>California resident
3.36 UC GPA
1940 SAT
5 on AP Biology test
4 on AP European history test</p>

<p>GPA is low, I know, but it did go from about a 2.8 first semester sophomore year to a 4.0 second semester junior year so... there's that.</p>

<p>Other random sweet nothings:
-100+ Volunteer hours at libraries, as a camp counselor, etc
-Many hours as an unpaid special projects intern at Asante Africa Foundation, furthering -education in East Africa
-School yearbook editor in chief
-4 years active GSA membership, one year ini the elected GSA peer education chair
Other leadership positions
-10 years of classical piano lessons
-Other leadership positions and a few other clubs
-Creative essays
-5 AP/Honors classes</p>

<p>Yeah your fine, SAT is very high, AP scores are nice, lots of EC’s. Make sure your essays are good and that will outshine your GPA.</p>
