Hey, man.
I’m a freshman at a high school that’s not very impressive because I haven’t enough money for a private school. I get all A’s, I’m involved in my school. I do alot of research in medicine and genetics. I wrote an essay about gene therapy to cure Cystic Fibrosis. I also play guitar, piano, and organ. I also write orchestra pieces. I’m a very charismatic and confident person. Do you think I have what it takes to get into Princeton, Yale, or Harvard?

GPA: UW ~3.2 (my school weighs grades really funny, adding .034 for each AP class, so weighed is only like 3.3 even though ive had all AP/Pre AP classes, including 2 APs this year)
SAT: 1880 (1240/1600) will probably retake, but really only shooting for a 1250 lol, but 1330+ would be super nice.
Rank: Top 30%
EC: religious youth group, i’ve been active all high school in it, now president of it. some volunteer work. I am a senior.
I have already gotten in to LSU. I am from New Mexico. I am also applying to:
University of Texas
University of Arizona
Arizona State University (already applied here, waiting for answer)
what are my chances?

@OP:

You’re cutting it close at BU, but I would think that you’ve got a good chance. Top decile, middle 50% SATs, and athleticism are all in your favor, so you should really work on your essays, etc., and you should be okay. Almost all of the others on your list all looked okay, too; for what it’s worth, I think American U would be a great fit for you, considering your living abroad. UVA is out of your reach, however; first of all, you need 3 SAT IIs to be considered for admission. Second, you’re SAT I scores are barely in the median 50%, and you’re applying from out-of-state, which means your chances aren’t good at best.

If you have a chance, I’d appreciate a look, too.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/781993-am-i-being-reasonable.html

I say your chances look pretty good for American; a solid match if not better. I’m sorry I can’t say much on the other schools.
