Chance me for (in order of importance):
Columbia-ED
UChicago-EA
Duke
Brown
Amherst
Pomona
Dartmouth
Georgetown-EA
University of Washington

■■■■ i just typed up this huge long response to NVdivisionCHAMPS and accidentally exited out of the page, so here’s the condensed version:

UWash and Pomona are Safeties
Georgetown, maybe brown are matches/high matches.
the rest are reaches/high reaches or something. 30-40%

also, yeah well i’m applying after semester gpa update, so i’ll be around 20th, but last year’s class’s 20th is equivalent to this graduating class’s 60th or so, so i would be really good if i graduated with last year’s class. lol. ALSO
ARE UVA AND GEORGETOWN THAT HARD TO GET INTO? (moreso than emory?! ***)

I personally feel Georgetown is quite difficult to get into, but it mostly depends on which college you apply to. You will most likely get into vandy anyways, so now worries :]

I would say…

Vanderbilt - ~65% since it’s early decision too and you have legacy, but rank isn’t that great
Duke - ~25%
Northwestern - ~30%
Notre Dame - ~50-60%

These are my guesses :)

I’d say that with a stellar essay and application, you have a decent chance at Vanderbilt.

I’ve only researched Georgetown in a stalkerish manner, so that’s the only one I’ll chance. That said, I think you have a shot there–are you applying to the College, SFS, or what?

Hey, cool, there have been like two threads in the past week with people from AL (I live in AL, too). Your focus on debate is a definite plus, and your volunteer hours are good, too. Your rank, as stated previously, isn’t the best, but if you go to VHHS or something I could see why. I’d say your Vandy chances are pretty high, or at least pretty high for Vandy. As for the others, you’re bound to get into a few of them, maybe more.

I can’t speak for the rest of the colleges because I have no reference point, but for the University of Virginia and Georgetown, here are my percentages…

UVA: 30%
Georgetown: 10%

And to answer your question, Georgetown is very hard to get in… this kid at my school had a 4.0 GPA and did some cancer research project (at Georgetown University) and didn’t get in.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/787107-chances-these-colleges.html

i’m probably not very good at chancing sorry

your a high match anywhere really, get that rank up!

Vandy ED/legacy- match- i think you/re in
Emory- high match
Duke- reach
Northwestern- high match
Georgetown- high match
UVA- high match
Notre Dame- match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/785983-s-t-n-f-o-r-d-rea-i-promise-chance-you-back.html thanks :)

Wow, way to completely steal my idea. I’m telling all those colleges that you are a plagiarist.

How would Pomona be a safety if Georgetown is a high match? It’s pretty darn hard to get into!

georgetown- low reach
vandy- high match- if ed
ponoma- low reach
uva- reach (basically a lottery in my opinion)- would need much higher class rank
dartmouth- reac
amherst- reach
do not really know anything about the other colleges, but you have an excellent act!but what kills you is class rank, and ur above average ecs, but vandy in my opinion you will be a shoe in

chance me pleaseee
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/787100-chance-me-please-i-will-chance-back-i-promise.html

You chances are good, not great, especially at Duke. But with good essays, its not impossible.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/784996-updated-list-same-kid-promise-ill-chance-back.html

*Emory (early action)-high match/low reach
*Duke- reach
*Georgetown-reach
*Notre Dame-match

Nice ACTs, but that rank is really gonna hurt you =/

Chance me pleasseee
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/786163-ed-penn-cas.html

My average unweighted is 3.6 and my weighted average is 3.8

ACT composite - 28
1860 SAT, retaking though
AP Bio - 4
AP Comp - 3

binghamton
stony brook university
university of michigan
john hopkins

P.S. - our average is out of 4.0

chance me pls

Vandy - match
Emory - match
uva - high match
dartmouth - reach
amherst - reach
Northwestern - match
G-town - high match

I think you’ll ultimately make it into Vandy especially because of ED, so the other rankings are pretty much irrelevant.

Chance me please - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/787183-predict-success-my-applications-ill-predict-success-yours-too.html
