1.) Completing IGETC English and math courses. (before the last spring semester)
2.) Major prereqs
3.) Other IGETC GEs

That's how the UCs prioritize class choice in regards to admissions, right? I plan on finishing everything by the time I transfer, but I want to do things in an order that the UCs would favor.

For example, would they mind if I took my physical science requirement during the last spring semester? (as opposed to taking a major prereq in that semester)

I also have an unrelated question. I took up to Spanish 2 in high school, and that settles my foreign language requirement, but I would like to take Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 at my community college. I want to major in English and most of the UCs require a foundation in a foreign language. My base in Spanish is sub-par at best (example being that I got a C both semesters in Spanish 1 during my freshman year of high school, then I took Spanish 2 my senior year of high school and got a B both semesters). I feel that going back to the basics would be the best for me if I'm going to succeed in taking an upper-division literature course in a foreign language. But would the UCs not give me credit for taking two semesters of elementary Spanish? (in the same vein that the UCs will not give you credit for English 101 if you passed AP English) I'd actually rather study a different foreign language, but what I will study is based soley on the classes available, and you really have to take what you can get because of budget cuts. The community colleges around me offer a fair amount of Spanish sections, but other foreign language courses such as Italian and German will have like one section per level. The ten units that two semesters of a foreign language would net me would be crucial to me meeting the 60 unit transfer requirement, so I can't afford to lose credit.

Thanks in advance.
