Let’s get ready for college football! 🏈

Yes! They kind of slept through the first half but got their groove in the second half and got it done!!! :blue_heart:

Well, I won $9 on my $.25 bet; DH isn’t happy, but I have $ for a fancy coffee.

We’ll see if it matters with the CFP committee, but Cal looked awful last night and USC just barely beat them. The CFP must look at the Pac-12 and see inferior football.

That was great game between LSU & 'Bama. Gutzy move by Brian Kelly going for the 2 point conversion instead of the tie.

Finally a nice win for ND!

Well I did say “almost”. And funny that the terrible Stanford team beat ND who just beat Clemson. Will be interesting to see how USC do against ND in their final game.

Yes, UCLA-USC is the week after (Nov 19th)

Nov 19 is a big day in the PAC. Besides UCLA-USC there is also Oregon-Utah.

The potential conference championship picture should be much clearer at the end of the day.

If I’m not mistaken, the Buckeyes are missing their top (or one of their top…) tailback. Still, there’s talent in that backfield. Maybe Northwestern was run blitzing, knowing that the conditions were miserable for passing.

Clemson probably should have lost to Syracuse, so this L was coming and didn’t surprise me. Notre Dame is mercurial – they can play with anyone on a good day, but they can also lose to just about anyone. They are inconsistent.

Anyway, it looks like Bama and Clemson are probably out of it, barring some upsets of the top-5. Tennessee could still sneak in, as could the loser of the Mich/OSU game – depends on TCU and the Pac champ.

Oof. It was a rough sports weekend in our household. Bama, CU, and the Phillies all lost. As far as Bama is concerned, we’re down but don’t count us out just yet. The CFP committee likes us, we’re good for business. I’m sure Ohio State fans remember what happened in 2017…

Loved seeing Georgia beat Tennessee. I’m Roll Tide 'til I die, but I just can’t root against Kirby Smart and the Dawgs (except when they’re playing Bama).

Of course, I’m hoping UT beats TCU this weekend, though I would welcome new blood in the playoffs.

TreVeyon Henderson has been in and out of the lineup all year. But, Ohio State has so much talent on their roster, they should be able to fill in w/o too much fall off.

I think the loser of the OSU-Michigan game will be out of the CFP. OSU has a slight chance since they beat ND in the first game of the season, but Michigan’s non-conference schedule was too weak.

A 1-loss SEC team and the Pac-12 champion with 1-loss would probably make the playoff, even though I think OSU or Michigan would beat the Pac-12 champion.

Washington Huskies get a huge road win, upsetting 6 rank Oregon Ducks.

Go Heels! On to the championship!

Disappointed in the Hokies season but still love the heart & soul of the team. Hoping they can figure things out going forward. I would hate to see this coach be a one-off.

Not sure what’s happened to Syracuse - they seemed to have gassed out completely.

Completely!! The orange need to move on from Dino. They just stopped.

UNC QB Drake Maye is the real deal y’all. He is fun to watch. Just so accurate.

16 of 30 today, no TD passes, Drake Maye didn’t have such a good game today against that juggernaut of a football program known as Georgia Tech. :slightly_smiling_face:

Michigan, down to their 4th string RB, Tavierre Dunlap, Michigan barely sqeaks out a victory at home.

The USC-UCLA game was very exciting, no defense, but a very entertaining game. Watching Utah-Oregon, which actually is more of a defensive struggle.

I didn’t get to watch the South Carolina-Tennessee game, but SC hung 63 on Tennessee.

Why is Alabama playing Austin Peay this late in the season? smh

Not to mention that GT was playing with its 3rd string QB and an interim head coach at a sold-out night game in Kenan Stadium.

Everyone has a bad game once and a while, but I’ve always wondered how UNC would stack up against UGA/Ohio State/Alabama, etc. With the exception of Clemson, The ACC isn’t that tough of a road. We’ll see how they do against Clemson in the ACC Championship.

Tennessee/South Carolina - I could tell from the opening minutes that SC showed up to win that game, period.

I left the Clemson game at halftime because I was old and cold :joy: came home and watched the Tennessee/South Carolina game; that was a beat down. Clemson is still playing like crap this season, so who knows what will happen next week. We usually go to the ACC championship game, but a lot of us aren’t going this year. My guess is there’ll be more UNC fans than Clemson this year.

yeah that UNC-GT game sucked. Not sure what was wrong with the Heels. Not the usual type of game they have been playing.
