Final play of Auburn game enough football for the day!
Thursday night was rough. Got to see the Virginia Tech Hokies and Pittsburgh Steelers lose on the same night! And then on top of that University of Virginia lost yesterday! But at least Pitt won today!
My Buffs are getting blown out at home on Homecoming weekend no less. I thought football wisdom was to schedule a team you can beat for Homecoming? Ugh.
I just logged back on. Oof for both my teams even though they won. I’ll post more tomorrow. Afraid to say more due to my earlier bad mojo…
ND played well, need to clean up some mistakes in the 4th qtr.
UT going down in Lubbock so all my TT friends are partying tonight!
I apologize, and I’ll make sure we never go to the local NJ Clemson game bar. He’s watching his Rutgers game (daughter also a Rutgers graduate), but with no expectations.
I don’t think Chizik is doing the UNC defense any favors. HUGE holes in yesterday’s game.
I’m sure VT feels a bit better about traveling to CH next weekend after UNC’s loss. UNC gets a lot of hype under Mack Brown, and he has recruited some amazing talent, but has yet to covert UNC into a football powerhouse.
VT will have a few seasons of struggle, but I believe in Coach Pry. Let’s not forget what VT did to a ranked UNC last year in the first game of the season!
Also - Miami going down to Middle Tennessee!
It was barely a good day in our house with Navy, H’s alma mater and terrible this year, eeking out an OT win last night.
Earlier in the day, we got to see our son’s team get their first win of their season yesterday, also just barely. He plays for a D1 team that would never be mentioned in this thread. After leading nearly the entire game, blowing it with a few minutes left, they managed to score in the last minute of the game and win the game. Unfortunately, we missed S’s best play of his personal game by mere seconds after some mishaps getting onto ESPN3 when the game was starting (one of only two games we can’t attend this season). He called before getting on the plane back to school so we were able to get the run down which was nice.
UNC is never going to be a national football powerhouse. That’s just not what the UNC Tar Heels are all about . Mack Brown knows that. He just came back because he likes Chapel Hill. This is his retirement job. He did the big show with Texas. And as much as the UNC fans like to speculate we know it too.
UNC is for hoops ! (Best game there is anyway.)
H’s alma mater didn’t play yesterday, but both D and S’s grad schools are 4-0. Go Golden Gophers and Go Bruins!
Nice to see UCLA (one of my favorite teams growing up) at 5-0. Like UDub as well so a little disappointed to see their 4-0 win streak end. Today’s gonna be fun!
Ucla was picked to have a decent team this year and played a good team. They should be ranked this week.
Michigan /Iowa will be interesting. Iowa always plays them tough (except for last year). JJ needs to get on track. This should be the game to do it but Iowa is good against the pass.
Looks like a running game with some passes mixed in. But that is like every game… Lol.
Go Blue.
I really expected Washington to win based on what I had seen so far but UCLA looked really good last night.
Yeah, I thought it would be more competitive but the Huskies played very sloppily.
Well that was a terrible Homecoming game Golden Gophers…
A surprising result for sure. I thought they had the fast track to the B1G West title.
Sure seemed like more of struggle than it needed to be, but I guess Iowa’s D is pretty good. And Iowa City is a tough place to play. Michigan wins 27-14, but just like last week these late touchdowns by the other team makes the score closer than it seems.
I was hoping Washington would beat UCLA, but the Pac-12 always seems unpredictable to me.
Sitting here on my couch, barely keeping myself awake, I’m watching Clemson’s football team’s bus drive and entrance to/into the stadium. It’s like watching Apollo Creed’s entrance to the boxing ring in Rocky 4, with all the hoopla and James Brown singing Living in America.
Just a WEE bit too much, even for my taste. I’m rooting for NC State in this one.
Boiler UP! ; )
Way to go, TERPS!
