I wanted some input in my choices..I want to get my AA,BA and MA and in the end run my own business.

1.Let the army pay for my college, and be tied down for 6 years.
I was thinking about the army for two reason.
-They pay for it. -And to get the leadership skills.
Just not sure how it works combine desk duty and college.

2.Try to apply for all and any student loans. And be able to go to private schools..

Not sure how you get 6 years out of the Army paying for college -

There are two ways to do it:
1. ROTC - apply for a ROTC scholarship. You can get either a 2 year, 3 year or 4 year scholarship that pays for tuition, fees, books and gives you a monthly stipend.
There are qualifications and the award is competitive. You must be qualified academically, medically and physically.
The commitment while in school isn't much at all - take one course (Usually 1 credit) per semester and go to LDAC the summer before your senior year in college for 6 weeks.
With a 4 year scholarship you will owe 8 years. Most serve 4 years Active Duty and 4 years reserves but you can be commissioned in the Army Reserve, which is part time. Unless, of course, you are deployed.

Another alternative is to enlist. If you enlist for 3 years, you can get covered under the new GI Bill which will pay tuition, fees, books and give a pretty nice stipend for living expenses.

There are all kinds of reasons for joining the Army and/or Army ROTC. You will gain excellent and valued leadership experience. Just know what you are getting into.

I just saw another post you made and you said you are not from the USA.
If you are not a US Citizen you do not qualify for an AROTC scholarhip as commissioned officers must be US Citizens.
You can however enlist. There is lots of money available to those who enlist.

Hehe..thanks..thats why i wanted your input. It would be as enlisted. Not sure where to lean, towards the leadership skills or private loans..I am kind of worried that I have to be in for a while before they pay anything for me. It is kind of difficult to get a straight answer from the recuiter..Is it possible to actaully combine army and college if your not superman?

I am a leagal alien, will I still not be able to qualify? If so, it kind of resolve itself..

If you are a legal alien you may enlist. If you desire to become a citizen then enlisting does indeed make it quicker.

You can also join the National Guard or Army Reserves. You can be in school full time, serve one weekend a month and two weeks in the summer and still get money for school.

There are many options out there and it's hard to tell what is right for you. If you know some of them then you can take some intelligent questions back to your recruiter.

Basically, you can enlist and serve three years and then go to college OR join the reserves or guard part time and go while in the reserves.

While enlisted you are a soldier -with orders. You can not attend full time but you MIGHT be able to take a college course or two. This depends on your job etc.

ROTC is not for those who want to enlist. After your 3 years are up you qualify for free college under the new GI Bill. Some colleges even give college credit for your enlisted service - depending on what training you had etc.

Im am also looking at going into the Army how much of college do they pay for, college isnt the whole reason for me joining but i am just wondering
