GO UCLA BRUINS!!! :D Anyone else watching the game?!

0-13 yeaaa booyy!!!

Team is so terrible, doubt I’ll even watch another game this season. Seriously is more fun watching other teams that are actually exciting than watch UCLA screw around for 4 quarters.

I would rather watch a division 2 school or a high school team that actually cared about winning play than UCLA’s team

UCLA has a football team?

Jonathan Franklin and Malcolm Jones played well, both have nice burst. I don’t know why Rick is still starting Derrick Coleman, I think he should only be used in short yardage situations.

I don’t know the deal with the QB now, sit Prince? He’s been inconsistent, terrible decision making today, but I think he is more prepared than Brehaut.

Next week will be interesting - I’m expecting a high scoring game.

Ha yep… against Houston. It will be another tough game :(

^wait until we play the texas longhorns. X.X

they’ll steamroll ucla into a nice, flat pancake.

0-35 whee…
Brehaut should totally be the starting quarterback. He can actually pass as compared to Prince…

And what’s with the weird handoffs to the RB where the quarterback just stands in place? I’ve never seen any other college football team do this before… is this because our quarterbacks suck or what?

It’s the pistol option right? It’s helping our running game, but weird that we turn to it since neither Prince nor Brehaut are dual threat. Perfect fit for it would be Hundley next year. Hope he gets some PT as a true freshmen next year.

when we use the pistol formation our quarterback never moves once he gets the football, and instead stands there? that’s what i’m curious about, since i see all the other teams’ quarterbacks running backwards towards the RB and handing off the football or faking a handoff. i can’t help but wonder if this is something you do as a drill which prince had to resort to since he didn’t get much practice time?

The quarterback is not suppose to move. At least not yet. It’s part of something called the pistol offense. If you watch clips of Jeremiah Masoli from last year’s Oregon offense, you will see that Oregon did the exact same thing. The only difference is Oregon was more effective at it because Masoli can actually run. Prince can’t run at all.

I think it’s a draw play in the pistol?
