I hate that cotton question. . it was so unclear!! hate that pictograph

@koshuan I agree with roxthesox. In question number 4 I answered that the passage was mainly about an experience or development in a time of his life. Also, I dont remember the question of number 7

@Andygus Sounds resonable for question 4! Everybody please help to confirm it. The question was: The author of the passage mainly ____. Two possible answers: Share a special account OR An experience or development in a time of his life.

And anything you could remember about the Telescope Passage in addition to the answers posed above? THX!

Got two questions wrong in oct maths & d score was 740, two questions already wrong dis time.
Hopeless that CR or Writing score of 620 would increase, given I found Oct exam easier :(

I put in “development of his life” because towards the end, it specifically states how this increased his interest and motivation to star gaze, and worked hard to earn enough money to buy a new telescope. This definitely shows a development of his life.

Why can’t the author talk about something about “share a special recount”, please give me consolidated reason to nullify this option, so that we can move on to discuss another reading passage!

@SATuser123 Sounds like you are right.

So Now For The Telescope Passage:
- Comparing astronomers to musicians: share similar experiences as novices.
- Simile between sky and lens: there is a perfect spot for viewing.
- Reflective and informative.
- Passage was mainly about an experience or development in a time of his life
- Ephemeral but powerful.
- In the passage involving telescopes, the author describes the following situation: “Once I received my new high-powered telescope, I could see the golden nebulas, Ursula major, hot and cold gases in distant galaxies, etc. These sights ballooned my system of what is plausible.” The author felt about seeing the universe through his new telescope is that he is hard to believe. (NOT difficult to take in)
- See planets clear
- Assertion followed by comical anecdote.

So far: 8/48

Children (Pared Passages)
- Idealistic
- Realistic
- Fundamentally
- Civics/and career of children’s.
- Helping children with their interests.
- Snide
- Higher education
- Anticipate a response.
- Method used in writing is repetition. (OR analogous reasoning?)
- The author of P2 systematically discredits P1.
- Similar thing in both passages- faculty’s role and coursework can lead to good civil character.

Was question 4 ever existed? I cannot remember now.

And for the question 10, personally speaking, “P1 and P2 hold different perspective” could be a correct answer. Or can’t it?

For question 9, I put “repetition”.

For question 9 i put analogous reasoning however repetition is most definitely correct. There is definitely a repetition of “lose” but no real significant analogous reasoning. There is reasoning but they don’t stand for analogies for anything else. They are pretty direct. I don’t remember either question 4 or 5. I got scared at first cause i thought i got them wrong. I don’t think they were the same for our test? Everything else seems perfect.

Hey guys. I wanted to ask about the writing
nember 28 which talked about the bacteria in the experiment. was the answer D (for use in)?
and there were 2 no errors after each other in the error identification part?

As I remember 28 was E and 29 was “much projects”—> should be many with plural noun. But maybe i’m wrong.

In question 28 of the writing section, I put E either 'cause there is no error grammatically in the usage of “for use in”.

Hey guys! Focus on the Children/higher education passage! Please remember other questions in this passage.

I don’t recall what question 4 was… For 10, I chose the option something along the lines “P1 discredits the stance espoused by P2”. I don’t think it’s systematic because there is a clash of main ideas, not specific arguments.

was the hyperbola questions answer -1?

Yes I got the hyperbola question as -1.

For 10 I think the option was
“P1 espouses the arguments presented by P2…” - In that sense this would be the wrong option. I don’t think it used the work “discredit”. But I am not sure.
