Hey everyone!
Congrats on your acceptances!
Looks like Barnard board is on the whole happy - with a HUGE acceptance rate… I think so far it looks like 80% of us got in!!

Anyhooo, in the college admissions process, I found it helped me when previous year’s applicants made a list with a few stats and stuff…

And this list can also be a way to get to know each other a little bit more.
Probably not everyone will end up at Barnard, but it’s still cool for all acceptees to gather.

Don't worry if you didn't get one; it's completely random. There's a giant stack of admitted students mailing labels and postcards that anyone can use. I mostly wrote to Floridians.

Lol, primefactor why does Barnard do this? Is it to make "personal contact" and to lure more students in to enroll?

I got mine from Cynthia.. it was definitely very nice :)
Made me want to go more. But then I got this fat box from Chicago.. and then everything went haywire... Now I'm back to the common human emotion of confusion.... an emotion I hate right now.

The school probably does it for that reason, but the students do it because it's fun. First years make me all nostalgic, and talking to people who are excited about Barnard get me excited all over again.

I was so incredibly excited about Barnrad.. but this confusion is just making me miserable. I hate not knowing, being undecided.

I think I really need to talk to Chicago students.
Btw, I'm visiting Chicago this weekend. I know it sounds crazy (from Singapore).. but this really needs to be done.

I agree that it does. You'll be spending four years and a lot of money there, so a weekend is a drop in the bucket.
