*essays:
-assume a great essay from me, cause i think it's pretty good :)
-i know great essays from my counselor. top notch ones.

I think I've chanced you before and had you match at USC, but in case I didn't--

Still figure you are a "match". The only problem area is the GPA, obviously--but your fantastic upward trend and the great test scores--along with solid ECs and the fact that you've been working should put you over the top--barely, though.

Make sure that the essays are good. A bad essay could cause them to overlook the great improvement.

Best of luck.

P.S. Your parents both being "legacies" also help a ton, obviously--but I think you are a good candidate even without them having both gone to USC.

Thanks guys. I'm glad most of them are positive. I've already sent it in for Marshall. Wish me luck. any more chances? I welcome everybody's opinion. Be honest!

I'd say you're in at USC. Double legacy from USC!!

It definitely matters.

USC: Strong match (80%)

UCI: Safe match (90%)

It's weird that UCI and USC are almost equal in chances when USC is way better, but UC's care a lot more about GPA/SAT's which you're weakest in. USC cares a lot more about Alumni association and extracurriculars, which you rock in.
