Has anyone gotten an answer for PT yet or have any word on when they will let our kids know?

Hi ruag8r. My son has applied RD to PT program, his status still shows in review. I think the program is pretty competitive and the site says it can take a bit longer for decisions for the pa, pt and nursing programs, although my guess is a super strong candidate would get a decision quickly. My son is coming in to his own academically :), so, he may not get in the program. But, he has back-up majors selected… in case he gets rejected for PT.
Good luck! I wouldn’t fret about not hearing yet.

Hello, All! My D emailed her counselor at Q and he responded that it’s going to be at least a couple of more weeks (end of Jan?) until acceptances come out at least for Nursing (and prob PA/PT programs if I have a guess) because they received 1800 nursing applications and they have to read them all. (Glad they are reading them and not just picking high SATs/GPAs!)

I agree with hockeymama that some high achievers will get their acceptances sooner…as one person on this thread in nursing already did. My D has above average stats and great ECs, however, she is definitely not in the “shoe in” category, so we are crossing fingers, praying, etc. they she gets in!

Best of luck to everyone! Hoping everyone who wants to go to Quinnipiac gets into their first choice!!

Congratulations to those who have already received their acceptances! Good luck to those who are waiting patiently! Does anyone know how large the nursing class of 2018 will be? 1800 applicants is amazing!

My D applied in late October and still has not heard anything. It sounds like the wait will be longer.

I sent in my application for RD on 10/29. Quinnipiac sent me an email on 11/27 that my application is ready for review. When do you think I should hear back?

Did anyone who applied for AT hear back yet?

Son got his acceptance today 18k/year, Liberal Arts

Does anyone know when they announce/notify you of any academic scholarships?

in your acceptance letter it will tell you if you get any scholarships

Son got letter in the mail today. Political science with 18k per year

my son checked his status on the quinnipiac website and it has changed to "decision made.’ And expect decision via postal mail in one to two weeks. He is so nervous. Just got outright rejection from Northeastern today via their online portal and then an email. I wonder if he should call a counselor at Quinnipiac? I seem to see that some other schools will let the students know via phone? I just know he is super bummed about having a rejection, I think the 1-2 week wait will bum him out!

Accepted as an undeclared major with the Trustee Award of $20,000. Very excited!

My S’s portal changed as well to “decision made” so we should be hearing any day now.

my son’s says the same… decision made and it should be sent out in 1-2 weeks. Anyone out there have this on their portal AND get accepted? kind of curious why they wouldn’t just write. “accepted” Maybe I’m paranoid?? Just seems odd. We have yet to even visit the school so it’s not a top choice for my son but we would certainly like the option to attend if he chooses so.

I’ve been in review for more than 2 weeks too. Will my portal change?

my son’s was in review for over 4 weeks. Now today it says decision made… will be mailed in 1-2 weeks. some have gotten their acceptances while it still says in review.

My son’s portal says “decision made” and we got the acceptance envelope on Monday!

awesome Lilaw88! that makes me feel better! My son is certainly in range for the school but a bit strange that they would not just post “accepted”. My thoughts went directly to it’s a denial and they want to write a nice letter to break the news.

Should I just call the rep because I applied for AT more than 2 weeks ago and it still says in review and I sent my 1st quarter grades in on 11/25

Thanks so much Hockeymama! I hadn’t seen any PT answers yet but had heard about OT decisions. Good luck to all our kids!
