Everyone here, with their perfect GPAs and 2400 SATs - to be fair, it makes me cringe. Not in spite but more in envy.

Chance me, I'm regular. Dominican (mom immigrated here) & Israeli (which, yes, means I'm Jewish) background from New York, second-generation college student.

GPA: 82/100 unweighted, school doesn't do weighted. Improved every year (74 freshman, 78 sophomore, 86 junior), lots of stuff happened at home and now I'm on anti-depressants and, to be honest, high school didn't really motivate me. Guess I deserve whatever I get then.

Courseload: all available honors classes in all three years, all AP classes offered in junior year, plan to take all AP courses available in senior year.

SAT I: 1770 (600 CR/590 M/580 W), plan to take again
SAT II: 610 Lit, 600 US history

In terms of extracurriculars, I've been a member of the debate team since freshman year and I'll be captain this year, I've interned at the New York Supreme Court in Brooklyn for a summer under a judge and will be working at Barnes and Noble this summer, I've contributed to the Literary Magazine and I work part-time as a web designer.

I'd like to major in English.

So... I have a few places I'd like to go to. Boston University is my first choice. I'll do CGS, whatever, I just love the atmosphere, the city, etc. (toured BU during sophomore year). I know it's an extreme long shot, but I'd like to know my chances.
