Let's say random things

Dangit… old middle school alg 1 teacher no longer coaching MathCounts.

They don’t have a team anymore. I got sick the week of competition, but I know we would’ve gotten better than top 15 if I was there. I was the captain too… dang.

And I gave someone the ego talk today. Never thought I’d see the day.

^ haha, that happened to me in 8th grade - that week I’d gotten sick, tried to leave the classroom to vomit, passed out in the doorway, and hit my head against the door frame to the extent that I needed stitches, so I was barely able to go. I remember when I was there, I had just finished one of the rounds when I was like “wait - 4+2=6, not 7. eff”, so yeah. Actually, someone else managed to get 11th in the state which was like unprecedented for us, so good times. /nostalgia

My friend on the team got 13th in the state.
I was going for like top 5 in my state.
And now, I’m even better than what I was back then.

…because you grew up?

I never joined Math Counts, because I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade :<. Everyone hated the Geometry teacher so I THOUGHT I was doing myself a favor by not taking it.

Fast forward to Sophomore year and I have to take Pre-calc + Trig just to catch up with my peers (in IB). And then I’m gonna take AP Calc next year online, since they don’t have Math HL…

I took Alg 1 in 8th grade, but I helped the geometry students do their work.

I joined mathcounts and did just fine.
IB Math HL 1… such a joke. Like, IB Math is an embarrassment.

While there are times I get ****ed at how my course progression goes, I have to make opportunities.

Mathcounts… lol.

I know! I just googled it.

I’m thinking of investing around $50-$100 on a new basketball hoop in my driveway. It’s such a great stress reliever.

Mathcounts, psssh. It’s all about MAO.

And Science Olympiad.

…I think I joined too many clubs, but all of them are pretty fun :D.

Today in AP Physics, we members of the back-of-the-class crew discussed Newton’s law of universal gravitation and how it applies to dating, and how that would make fat people are more attractive than skinny people.

^Lol. We’re not even there yet, but my class is Mechanics only. I just take the second test of the year today, actually. We’ll be starting Newton’s Laws next.

I have to get ready to register for a college physics course. Why did I take AP US Gov’t?

Because you want AP credit :D.

There’s a part of me that wants to go into this dual enrollment program where we take around 4 (All courses offered are AP except for one honors course) high school classes and two college courses (I think), but it’s geared more towards the humanities, and I’m starting my IB Diploma next year, and I’ll probably have two of my teachers for three years of High school (appropriately, they’re a science and English teacher so college recommendations :)). BUT I’d have to rush my math. But the dual enrollment thing would let me advance faster. But then I’d be leaving a few of my friends (well, some of my friends are dead-set on going).

So I dunno.

//whine.

I have nothing to say.

This is my 200th post!

Life’s funny sometimes.

What if God was one of us?

Just lit fall-scented candles in my room and listening to Christmas music. Why am I so festive?

^ maybe cuz you’re happy?

I don’t want to study for my math test!!! :(

My bank account is running low thanks to college application fees.

Does it really matter?
