Let's see how CC can chance.

I already know what's a reach/match/safety for me after doing a lot of research so I'm not going to freak out over what you say. Let's see how close you guys get to what I have.

College list.
Penn (ED)
Notre Dame (EA)
Michigan (EA)
Rutgers 6-year Pharm (EA)
Carnegie Mellon (RD/EDII?)
Cornell (RD)
Emory (RD)
Vanderbilt (RD)
NYU (RD)
Wake Forest (RD)

This Is Me.
Asian American.
New Jersey.
Public school, quite competitive, 20 APs offered.
Sends students to Ivies and top 10 colleges every year.
Class Rank: Reported in quintiles. Top quintile.
7 APs to be taken by senior year. That's the standard amount for top students (highest ever was 10 because of school system) This schedule is rigorous compared to what the school offers.

GPA: 3.66 UW
SAT: 1390/2120, 1540/2340
PSAT: 219. Commended likely.
SAT II Math II 790 US History 730 Chemistry 710
APs Chemistry 3 US History 5 Language 5

ECs (by senior year):

NHS. Yeah.

Recs: English and Chemistry. IDK how they'll go.
Essays: Eventually these essays will be beautiful. Assume they will be.
Major: Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Pharmacy (whatever major gets me here)

i think engineering programs are typically more competitive. so im going to assume you’re applying to CAS programs since i know them best, unless you indicated otherwise

Penn (ED) low-mid reach
Notre Dame (EA) mid-high match
Michigan (EA) low match
Rutgers 6-year Pharm (EA) i know nothing about that program
Carnegie Mellon (RD/EDII?) my comp wouldnt load cmu admission page so idk about edII competitiveness vs RD…–for RD probably mid-high match
Cornell (RD) low-mid reach
Emory (RD) mid-high match
Vanderbilt (RD) match
NYU (RD) low match
Wake Forest (RD) low match
Illinois (RD) mid-high match
Georgia Tech (RD) high safety-low match

shameless bump.

yeah, no problem…

Shoot my bad.

Thanks for the chances, not exactly what I was thinking but it did make me feel better.

sorry didnt mean to be a jerk about it hahha

what did you have

Your shot at rutger’s pharm is VERY good. I’d say you’re in, but I only know one person from personal experience who applied and got in (not going though), so I’m basing my chance on that.

Why don’t you apply to Georgia Tech early action?

4 -5 earlys are enough, plus I want to visit Georgia Tech before I make that decision since it’s a recent addition and my parents are mixed towards it.

shameless bump

grrrrrrrrrrrrr 10 charizards

Still comparing my results to others.

Considering the 250+ views… thanks to who gave their opinions.

Penn (ED) - mid/high reach
Notre Dame (EA) - low reach
Michigan (EA) - high match
Rutgers 6-year Pharm (EA) - mid/high? reach (apparently extremely competitive)
Carnegie Mellon (RD/EDII?) - high match/low reach if for science
Cornell (RD) - low/mid reach
Emory (RD) - match
Vanderbilt (RD) - match
NYU (RD) - match or high match depending on which internal school you apply to
Wake Forest (RD) - (probably low) match/ safety
Illinois (RD) - safety
Georgia Tech (RD) - match (because you are out of state)

^ That’s actually almost exactly what I have, actually. Impressive.

“Rutgers 6-year Pharm (EA) - mid/high? reach (apparently extremely competitive)”

Except for that, that’s way off. Trust me ;)

Who wants to prove me wrong?
