Whatever guys. The Winds of Winter is still going to come out.
It appears I was deferred as well. Great job to those who were accepted.
I was denied, but that is okay. Congratulations to all who got in, and good luck to those who were deferred!
GOTTTT IN!!! Against all odds! Unbelievable!!! Thank you, God! Guys, go to MIT Admissions blog to your respective threads. There is an explanation for everyone. I wish everyone good luck. To those deferred and rejected, do not despair - BELIEVE.
Deferred but congrats to anyone who got in!
Anyone know the historical deferral acceptance rate?
adMITted! oh MIT, my dreams school for 5 years.
btw I’m an international applicant. I havent seen anybody else accepted as an intl… tell me if youre one of them!
I can’t believe it… admitted!!
I honestly was completely prepared for rejection/deferral and had convinced myself that I was going to be more than content to stay on the west coast. But now I have to reconsider… wow. Still haven’t completely processed it.
deferred. with 3 800’s SAT II’s and Siemens semifinalist…congrats to all of those who were accepted though. This is literally the dream!
@ammoopi - I’m happy for you. Good luck!
My MIT application is ready to go. I can’t seem to find where I can upload my resume with the application. Did
anyone upload a resume? Thanks!
No, I didn’t and if I recall they specifically saaid that they did not wan’t resume’s because they wanted to see what was really important to you when you pick your top five activities or awards.
Got an e-mail from a football coach last week that seems promising.
To help curb a dismal 660 SAT Physics, I sent in a supplemental document ~20 pages that showed me coming up with a catenary formula. I’m retaking this month, and now that I have a semester of AP Physics under my belt, hopefully I’ll break 700.
Supposing I get a 700, could that and my supplemental document help me in what is maybe my weakest application component–science?
@Hermit9 I’m also planning on playing MIT football. Are you going to one of the overnight visits/stays?
As for your SAT predicament, I think it would help in your case, but try to break 700 at least.
@orjioke33 Cool! But no, I live too far away.
I’m hoping to hit 700. It shouldn’t be terribly hard.
@Hermit9 Especially with the generous Physics curve. Good luck
Any permanent residents applying? I just got an email referring to my green card and wanted to know if there are others who experienced the same.
@orjioke33 I’m a permanent resident. I don’t remember getting an email about it.
@qwertiop Hmm. That’s odd. Did you have to submit a VISA or H1 or anything?
I don’t think so, but it was a long time ago, so I don’t remember it very well \o/
